In 2007, the 18th Australasian Conference on Information Systems will be held at the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba campus.
One of the most serious challenges facing all academics in Australia, and many other countries, is the increased pressure from government to improve the quality of research.
Therefore, the theme for ACIS2007 is research, relevance and rigour.
We invite colleagues from Australia, New Zealand, Asia-Pacific and beyond to present new findings, discuss current issues and strengthen personal networks. We look forward to meeting you there. |

Welcome to the ACIS 2007, entitled the 3Rs: Research, Relevance and Rigor – Coming of Age hosted by the University of Southern Queensland.
As the Queensland Government Chief Information Officer, I am pleased to support the ACIS in 2007 as a worthwhile conference that covers technical, organisational, industry and social issues in the application of IT to real world problems.
I am excited that the event will also be hosted at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba, being a former student I am familiar with this beautiful regional city - the hub of the Darling Downs.
I encourage anyone interested in information systems and most importantly in innovation to attend this year’s conference. As usual, it will be exciting, instructive and even perhaps life-changing. |
